We are currently seeking candidates who are passionate about retailing and operations management and who have an excellent background in coaching and development for a position at our new Burlington store. You are known for your leadership, customer focus and team-building skills, as well as for your understanding of retail-related issues and retail industry indicators.
The chosen candidate will act as a leader and be able to inspire his/her nearly160-strong team to achieve store business objectives. The Manager reports to the District Supervisor and is accountable for all store operations, most notably for:
- Motivating, empowering, developing and encouraging the performance of the store’s management team
- Ensuring that the store’s financial objectives are achieved by implementing the necessary sales strategies and cost-management measures
- Making a priority of improving customer experience
- Participating in the employee selection process of various departments
- Participating in the training and integration of new team members so as to ensure their success
- Analyzing the store’s financial data and taking the actions required to maximize resources
- Promoting and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
- Managing all in-store merchandising activities according to company guidelines
- Managing inventories and preparing inventory counts
- Answering all customer inquiries
- Participating in promotional events.
We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:
- Five years of management experience in a big box store
- Knowledge of MS Office software
