Department Manager, Cash and Customer Service

We are currently seeking candidates who want to apply their team-building skills and who are passionate about retailing and Customer Service, for our Cash and Customer Service department for our new Burlington store. You are known for your people skills and operational knowledge, as well as for your customer-focused approach.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for coordinating department activities and motivating a 15-person team to achieve department objectives. The Department Manager reports to the Store Manager and is accountable for all department operations, most notably for:
- Motivating, empowering, developing and encouraging the performance of his/her team
- Ensuring that department objectives are achieved by proposing action plans
- Managing all department activities including shiupping, receiving, returns and transfers
- Acting as an ambassador when it comes to health and safety
- Participating in his/her department’s employee selection process
- Actively participating in the training and integration of new team employees
- Promoting company standards and policies
- Participating in inventory management and inventory counts
- Actively participating in promotional events
Profile :
We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:- Two years of management experience in retail industry or customer service
