How to sell on reSAIL<\/h2>\r\n

What can I sell on the reSAIL platform?<\/h3>\r\nreSAIL is a recommerce platform accessible to all outdoor enthusiasts. But what exactly can be listed on this site?\r\nIn a word: almost all clothing, footwear, bags and camping equipment that is or used to be sold at SAIL. Last season's winter jacket? It\u2019s a yes. Your first pair of hiking boots? Also yes. Your tent? Ditto. And so on.\r\nThere are a few exceptions, though. As you might expect, safety equipment, personal use products, fuel and food products cannot be sold on reSAIL. Products from brands that are not sold (or were never sold) at SAIL are not allowed on the platform either.\r\nKnowing this, all you have to do is gather up your pre-loved clothing and equipment that have been sitting in the back of your closet. Give them a good wash, then get ready to say goodbye!\r\n

List your item (properly)<\/h3>\r\nOnce you know exactly which products you want to put up for sale, it's time to create your listing. To do this, create an account on our reSAIL platform, even if you already have a SAIL account - the two are not linked.\r\nFor each item you put up for sale, you must provide the size, category, colour, description\u2026 The more detailed your information, the greater your chances of selling.\r\nOur platform does make things easier: by searching for your item in our catalogue, you can access all its information in just one click. Very convenient! You have to provide a few more details after that, then that's it. You just preview your listing and post it online.\r\n

Fill in your condition report (and don't forget the photos!)<\/h3>\r\nWhen you list an item, it's up to you to assess its condition. The only advice we can give you here is simple: stay objective.\r\nThe goal is to neither over- nor underestimate the condition of your item. You wouldn't want a product you buy to be described as being in better condition than it actually is. So make sure you stay neutral (even if you have a lot of memories with the item you're selling!)\r\nLook for any visible damage, such as stains and holes. Only products in good condition will be accepted on reSAIL. Out of respect for buyers, we do not accept items with significant tears, missing zippers, broken buttons, etc.\r\nYou must include at least two photos with your listing. There's nothing stopping you from adding more; it will only improve your chances of selling!\r\n

Set your price and confirm your listing<\/h3>\r\nreSAIL is a buying and selling platform for outdoor enthusiasts. It's up to the seller to decide what price he's prepared to let his item go for, not us.\r\nThere is one small rule, however: the price must be between 20% and 100% of the item's original selling price when new. As you may have guessed, this is required for selling. We recommend that you go for around 50% of the original price. Once again, do not overestimate the value of your product, even if it has seen you through many adventures.\r\n

Finalize the sale of your item<\/h3>\r\nYour item has found a buyer? Awesome! Now, all you have to do is pack and send it so you can get your payment. As soon as your product sells, we automatically send you a prepaid shipping label. You then have one week to ship the order to your buyer. Prepare your package with care. Wrap all items in clean, protective enough packaging. If you're selling clothing, make sure there's nothing left in the pockets or anywhere else. We also encourage you to include a note for your buyer - it's always a nice touch!\r\nIn your buyer's interest and your own, the earlier your shipment goes out, the better! Ideally, drop it off at the nearest post office within three days of receiving the label.\r\nYour payment will be released once the buyer receives your package, as long as everything is in good condition and matches the description. All you will need to do next is choose how you want to receive your payment: You can either get 70% of the selling price in cash, or 100% if you opt for a SAIL gift card. That's why we wanted our product listings to provide as many details as possible to help you make informed choices.\r\nEach listing includes a full description and photos of the item, which gives you a good idea of its \"real-life\" general condition. Make sure you read the description carefully and check the seller's rating if there is one. With all this, you know exactly what you're buying on reSAIL!\r\n

Sit back and wait for your package<\/h3>\r\nWhen you finally buy the item that caught your eye, you won't have to wait very long to receive it. The seller has a maximum of 6 business days to send it to you, but we always recommend shipping the package as soon as possible. A quickly shipped item reaches the buyer quickly and unlocks payment for the seller just as quickly. Everybody wins!\r\nOnce the package is in your hands, check that it matches the description and photos. If you accept it, the sale becomes final, and payment is sent to the seller.\r\nIf the item is damaged or does not correspond to the description you have read, contact the reSAIL customer service within three days of receipt. We'll ask you for a few details and photos to help us find a solution. If the item really isn't what you expected, you can send it back to us free of charge for a refund. We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label.\r\nIf the item you purchased is not sent to you within 6 working days, you can cancel your order and get a full refund.
