Not made for human feet
Based on the mfg themselves, I bought a size 42 EUR (my street shoe size). The angle of the back of the shoe makes it impossible to get it on the foot. I have narrow feet and my little toes felt crushed in these. I had to use a shoe horn to get them on my feet and it took 10 minutes - and I was sweating bullets at the end. If you do buy - go up at least a size to be able to get them on. But be advised that your heel may not fit into the heel of the shoe. The company should stick to climbing gear and leave the shoes to someone who knows what the sizes mean.
I've worn So Ill, La SPortiva, and Scarpa. I wore 42.5 in the Scarp Origin - but found that the top of the shoe pressed down on my toes with such force that they were all bruised under the nails. I really liked the So ill shoes - but I blew a seam in the front. I've tried La Sportiva GymBoss (good beginner shoe), Solution (wore street size - but they stretch a lot across the top to where I put a know in the the velcro closure laces to keep the tab on the velcro when closing), and :s Sportiva Skwama. The GymBoss and So Ill shoes were comfortable to leave on all the time. I have to take the Solution off between climbs - although they are starting to stretch out. I have yet to break in the Skwama.
The Black Diamond Shadow is so tight that I don't know how I'll be able to wear them enough for them to stretch out.
