The perfect back woods companion or secondary 22!

Marketed as a "childs" rifle with a 12" pull, most adults will dismiss this small gem. Its basically the regular BL-22 with a 4" shorter barrel and just 1" less pull. At 31.5 inches it's the same size as a Savage Rascal and still 2" shorter than the Henry Youth Lever. It's also cheaper than all the other BL-22s, but appears identical in quality (I also own a grade 2). I don't sling this rifle, I carry it one handed sometimes around the petite steel receiver or have it in a shotgun holster. I like the fact that the barrel doesn't scrape the ground (unlike a a regular 40" rifle) when it points straight down. Yes, the BL-22s are pricey - but when compared to the pot metal Henry all the little details add up to make a rifle that actually seems cheaper for what you're getting.
