It's not the lightest 4-man out there, but it's solid and we'll made. No problems with leaks as long as you set the guidelines properly. Been through 3 canoe trips with solid rain in 2 of them and I have no complaints. I did however replace the guy lines with the reflective type and replaced the pegs with a stronger style.
Bought this tent during the spring sale and set it up in the back yard before we got 5 straight days of rain, and I'm very impressed on how it performed. Everything in the tent was bone dry, not even condensation build up after spending a rainy night to test it out. Next outing will be 5 days on an interior canoe trip into Naganosh Prov Park.
Not great design
It DOES FIT 4 PEOPLE, as opposed to other brands that claim 4 but really you fit only 3...
However 1 big issue: the top rod (or the cover)is poorly designed as a result the protection cover will touch the body of the tent so the water will leak in if raining-not sure why... it's not supposed to leak inside only after first use...!
Amazing tent and held up to strong winds and rain.
My wife and I got this tent when I was sick and tired of setting up and taking down our 15 person cabin tent. We bought this for us and a two person Bella Coola for our six year old son and we love them both. They hold up to wind and rain without compromise. They are quick to setup and takedown. They are spacious and well constructed. We had our first "real" camping trip in them last weekend and are totally in love with the. We camped at Rock Point and it held up to strong winds and rain without any issues whatsoever.
