I have never owned a crossbow before so I have nothing to compare my Excalbur 355 to. Ive owned it for 2 years now and I've never had an issue with it. I like the anti dry fire mechanism and the compactness of the bow. I haven't shot it any more than at about 60 feet and its deadly accurate. And the scope is perfectly matched to the bow. What I do recommend though is, if its in your budget, to purchase the c2 cocking aid since like any other crossbow, its not that easy on the back...especially if you're out target practising. I personally do not own the cocking aid because I feel it is overpriced. I'd rather grin and bare the pain of manual cocking.
