Best light rain jacket I've ever owned!
My girlfriend bought me this jacket on sale and for the price, it definitely does not disappoint! The XL fits my 6'2" 200lb frame beautifully and is quite comfortable backpacking and seated while canoeing. It's great fit is light enough to wear in warm weather, has zippered armpit vents to keep you cool without sacrificing dryness and packs away easily. It is also loose enough to wear base thermal and fleece layers underneath for the cooler rainy days. I love how the nice high collar is separate from the hood improving comfort. The hood itself come out quite far to keep rain off of your face, but doesn't limit visibility, and can be worn with or without a toque/beanie. The 2 external zippered pockets are convenient for keeping items dry. Be careful though, they are meshed on the inside and look like internal pockets with an open top. Unfortunately the bottom is open as well and I lost a few items.
Overall, I am very impressed with this lightweight/inexpensive jacket and I am trying to find the matching set of pants.
Good price on sale for Cyber Monday. Arrived quickly. Excellent quality and design. Now I just ned to test it in the rain.
Nice features, works well for camping, and provides some wind resistance. For temps below approx 10 C, I would supplement with a fleece or thermal layer. Would like velcro on jacket to be a bit longer to make it easier to secure full length of Velcro (when adjusting hood for visibility in rain).
