Pretty ok cooler

I have had this cooler for a over a year now and I'll say its pretty good. The first time I used it I iced it the day before, then put cold drinks in it and put 2 bags of ice in it. It lasted a long weekend where it was constantly opened and warm beers were added. We did add another bag of ice, though it wasn't really needed. Our second trip I didnt ice it before and added warm drinks when we first filled it with ice and the ice melted and could never keep up. Over the weekend we didnt add any more warm drinks but it was outside all weekend. In total I think we used about 5 bags of ice which was a lot more than I expected. All in All its a nice cooler, but I think I would just upgrade to a larger convential cooler.

not that good

Pelican 20 cooler, purchased in Sail
For this specific model from Pelican, Elite 20QT cooler, they used .78", not 2' which is typical for their coolers (Yeti uses 3" thick foam-walls for insolation). And it shows: cooler did not keep ice for 3 days, as promised, on the third day all ice was all melted -and the cooler was all the time in AIR CONDITIONED room, 23c. First I put some ice pack, night before in the cooler, then put plenty of ice and some beer and food.
Secondly, and very strange, this model only, don’t have drain plug. By the way, it is sturdy and it has excellent and easy to operate laches, the handle is good, good room inside for the smallest cooler that Pelican offers, but they cheated out ion main thing-quality and thickness of their insolation. And that all for 250???!!!.
