Worked Great

We have a 14 ft aluminum Sportspal canoe. Found the cart easy to use, lightweight & quiet on dirt roads in Provincial parks. The directions clearly say not to over tighten the straps so we left them slightly loose & they held nicely. I recommend this as a good, inexpensive product for the casual canoer.

Made for a Bad Start to Canoe Camping Weekend

Took a chance, despite reviews. I shouldn't have. The carrier never even had a chance to work....b/c just tightening the (included) straps, to secure the canoe to the cart, while still in the parking lot caused the metal to bend, such that the wheels folded inward and pressed firmly against the canoe (preventing them from spinning freely). Our canoe is well under the recommended max weight, and my ability to tighten straps is nothing special! It would have been funny if we weren't so frustrated.

Waste of money

Terrible quality. Bought four , all broke after four weeks of use. The tires all broke off the rims, as previous reviewers have stated. Will have to find another way to walk our kayaks 5mins on pavement to the lake.

yak fisher

very poor quality rims, tires and axle spacers

I bought this to replace a 4 year old worn out air filled tire cart.
I am sure this cart will be good for recreational kayaks on groomed paths but does not stand up to sand or gravel beaches with a fishing kayak. The foam filled tires float it rims and come off in turns in sand. So you have to take the rim off to put the tire back on. I threw the foam tires away and bought inner tubes and tires for the rims.

Maybe this one was defective but either way the quality would not last that long that is for sure, build your own.

I bought the hauler and used it for 10 min and the tire came off the rim, the box say's it can carry up to 200 pounds, my canoe empty is 97 pounds and just with that the foam tier was coming off the plastic rim and could not use it .
