Description

The robust pocket knife, designed for all intensive outdoor activities. The Mustard version with a black blade, sporty and elegant. Sturdy, reliable and functional, it is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts looking for a tool capable of accompanying them in all their activities, from hiking and camping to mountain biking and canoeing. The N°08 Horizon Mustard Black features a smooth, sturdy 8 cm stainless steel blade and a handle made from recycled plastic that is resistant to extremeand water-resistant handle, fitted with a 110dB whistle and a lanyard hole. The blade and Virobloc safety ring have a black PVD coating, enhancing corrosion resistance.

  • Blade length: 8.35 cm
  • Handle length: 10.9 cm
  • The handle is made from fibreglass-reinforced polymer, providing excellent resistance to impacts, water, and extreme temperatures (-40 °C to +80 °C)
  • A whistle is integrated into the butt of the handle. Ball-free and designed to work in all weather conditions, it produces a powerful 110 dB sound and has a range of approximately 300 metres in open areas
  • Safety ring: stainless steel Virobloc with a specific black surface treatment to increase corrosion resistance. This treatment is sensitive to scratches, avoid using abrasive sponges or cleaning products
  • Martensitic stainless steel:

  • Opinel stainless steel blade steel is an optimized grade designed to provide both high corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical performance
  • The blade offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion resistance (wear resistance), allowing it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramic before requiring resharpening
  • Stainless steel has the advantage of requiring no special maintenance under normal conditions of use, unlike carbon steel. However, it may reach its limits when exposed to an aggressive environment for prolonged periods (acid, salt water, detergents, etc.)
