Is Thermacell safe?
All ThermacellTM products are suitable for use around families including children and pets. The active ingredient in the blue repellent and fuels is allethrin, a synthetic version of a natural repellent found in chrysanthemum flowers. The allethrin formula offers an area repellent alternative to DEET (diethyltoluamide) spray. The active ingredient in the other rechargeable products is metofluthrin.

How do ThermacellTM products work?
Keeping mosquitoes away without exterminating them is possible thanks to ThermacellTM technology. For fuel-powered devices, the technology is activated by a fuel cartridge contained in a metal grid to provide heat and release the repellent agent.
As for the Radius Zone battery-powered device, its optimized technology is activated at the push of a button to release the repellant. In addition to providing a longer duration of protection, this device is rechargeable thanks to the lithium-ion battery it contains.
No matter which device you choose, you can make sure you are safe from unwanted mosquitoes in a mosquito protection zone up to 4.5 m (15 ft) around the devices. All you have to do is enjoy the outdoors.

The repellent cartridge in the Thermacell Rechargeable E-Series devices provides up to 40 hours of use.
Warranties
Are ThermacellMC products under warranty?
All ThermacellTM Mosquito Repellent devices and accessories have a limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use.
Repellent cartridges for fuel devices are backed by a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. You can register the product on the Thermacell's manufacturer website and the warranty will be extended to two (2) years from the date of purchase.
Repellent cartridges for battery-powered devices are backed by a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. You can register the product on the Thermacell's manufacturer website in order extend this warranty to three (3) years from the date of purchase.
If your product is still under warranty and is not performing to its standard, you may contact the manufacturer to have your product replaced.
