Bluesign® is a textile industry standard that monitors every stage of a product's manufacturing process to ensure that its impact on the planet and on the health and safety of living beings is kept to a minimum. This covers resource use, materials, inputs, methods, and waste management. Bluesign® certification is a guarantee of sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental accountability.
Organic material
Organic certification requires that a material be produced without the use of any pesticides or chemicals. Therefore, organic fabrics are certified according to strict standards that cover every stage of the production process, from the cultivation of raw materials all the way to the finished product. These certifications are the promise of a fully traceable textile product, manufactured with the greatest respect for the soil, water and biodiversity while also ensuring optimal conditions for the workers.
Responsible Down Standard (RDS)
RDS works to promote and foster the adoption of ethical and ecological practices in the down industry, mainly ensuring compliance with high standards of animal welfare. An RDS-certified product is a guarantee that all animals involved in the production chain have been treated with respect and care, and that environmental concerns are also listed as a priority.
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)
The purpose of RWS is to ensure the welfare and proper treatment of sheep raised for wool, as well as the health of the soil on which they graze. It also addresses the quality of life, health and work conditions of the workers. The RWS mark ensures that a product has been manufactured following ethical and ecological standards.
B-Corp Certification
B-Corp aims to transform business into a force for positive change, creating long-term benefits for people and the planet. Driven by values of fairness, community, and the renewal of nature, B-Corp certification ensures that a company has integrated high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency into its operations.
Fairtrade
Fairtrade certification attests that strict standards have been met to promote fair and ethical conditions for the people involved in the production of raw materials or products. These standards notably address wages, safety, quality of life, community development, and environmental protection. They guarantee responsible and ethical production, promoting fairness and well-being for all involved, along with the adoption of sustainable, eco-friendly practices.
OEKO-TEX®
OEKO-TEX® includes several certifications focused on environmental protection and social responsibility in the textile industry. Each certification has its own specific scope and standards, but all reflect a commitment to transforming production practices to make them more humanly and environmentally responsible. OEKO-TEX® certifications notably aim to guarantee health and safety, traceability, worker protection and efficient use of resources.
Fair Wear
The intention behind Fair Wear is to help transform the textile industry into a healthier, safer, more dignified environment that is respectful of people and their rights. The foundation works with brands on a voluntary basis to support them in their efforts to take responsibility and improve their practices. A Fair Wear membership means that a brand is committed to taking concrete action to improve the working conditions and quality of life for the people in its supply chain.
Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification guarantees that a product includes recycled content in its composition. It can apply to either a specific material or a finished product. The GRS seal also means that strict social and environmental standards were met throughout the production process, notably regarding working conditions, water and energy consumption, and waste management.
REPREVE®
REPREVE® collects and recycles plastic bottles and textile waste to create new materials used in the manufacture of clothing, footwear, and other products. REPREVE® materials are certified recycled, traceable, and made with a focus on minimizing the ecological footprint and the use of natural resources.
V-Mark
V-Mark certification provides a reliable way to identify vegan products. It guarantees that no materials or products derived from animals have been used in the manufacturing process. It applies to the finished product, its components and any substances or processed required to produce, transform or package it.
Eco-Labels
PVC-free product
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a highly resistant plastic material used in thousands of products, including fabrics, coatings and packaging. It is often combined with various chemicals during processing, and it is known to be harmful to the environment and to have a serious impact on human health. Products made without PVC are a greener, safer, and equally effective alternative.
PFAS-free product
Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are synthetic chemicals used in a wide range of products, notably to make certain fabrics and materials more resistant to water, stains, abrasion or heat. As they break down very slowly, these substances persist for a long time in nature and can build up in the bodies of living beings. Many of them also present known or potential health and environmental risks. The ""PFAS-free"" label identifies products manufactured without the use of these substances of concern.
